(Late) March Haul

I thought I would share with you what I have purchased over the last month. Enjoy!

1. American Apparel

1. Colour Bock Stretch Bull Denim High Waist Cuff Shorts (link here) - £54.00

I have had my eye on these shorts since last Summer but didn't want to pay £54.00 for them, so it was a miracle when I found a pair on E - Bay! I was a little apprehensive about these shorts as I heard they are a little tight and that it is probably best to purchase a size up but I went with my normal size and if anything, they are too big. These are super soft and definitely worth the money. These shorts are definitely going to be a main staple in my wardrobe this SS14.

2. Missguided

1. Lilih Sweatshirt in Pastels (link here) - £19.99

Before purchasing this jumper, I had longed for a pastel jumper, so you can imagine my delight when I saw this on the Missguided website. My funds were relatively low at the time, but luckily Missguided were offering free postage for a limited time. I adore this jumper. It is super soft and very comfortable, and I love the different pastel shades. I may wear this jumper with the American Apparel shorts.

3. Topshop

1. HYDRATE Two Part Pool Sliders (link here) - £22.00

I had been wishing for a pair of black sandals for a very long time so I was ecstatic when I saw these on the Topshop website. At only £22.00, I thought that was pretty good for Topshop. These are really comfortable and the black and gold go really well together. Definitely going to be big in my wardrobe this Summer.

2. Moto Gingham Print Joni Jeans (link here) - £38.00

As many of you may know, I am adoring the Gingham trend this season, as well as the pastels. Joni jeans have made me turn my back on any other jeans as these are the perfect jeans for me. High waisted and a very flattering fit. I also receive many compliments on these jeans; well worth the money.

3. MOTO Black Joni Jeans (link here) - £36.00

Another pair of Joni Jeans, I told you that I loved them! Two years ago, I had purchased a pair of black Leigh Jeans from Topshop and I had never been happy with the rise but I put up with it. Until I saw the Joni Jeans. Again, these are high waisted and flattering. The bottoms are a little long for me and are a Petite size, so I have to roll them up, but I would do this anyway. Reasonable price.

4. (Similar) Glamorous Colour Pop Daisy Shift Dress (link here) - £26.00

The Topshop dress was a sell out pretty quickly, however, I have found a similar dress from Glamorous. You will probably be able to purchase the Topshop Daisy print dress via E-bay. The Topshop dress has a lovely Gingham print with a daisy print throughout. I love this dress!

4. Boohoo

1. Orla Leather Look Metallic Runner Shorts (link here) - £15.00

These Boohoo shorts are  little bit out of my comfort zone but I loved them when I first saw them and just had to purchase them. They are true to size, yet have a very flattering fit. They are metallic which is another trend I am loving. I love how they are just easy to slip on and very sports luxe, which again, is out of my comfort zone but I am loving it so far. These shorts are in the sale at the moment at only £15.00 but they are selling out fast!

2. Erika Dogtooth Woven Checked Pelmet Mini Skirt (link here) - £15.00

I am still loving the check trend, but I am venturing with different colours instead of wearing tartan pieces. This skirt is going to be perfect for the Summer and will look great with pastel pieces. I would recommend getting a size up as the skirt is quite big on me but still wearable. Reasonable price at £15.00.

3. Megan Gingham Boxy Long Sleeve Shirt (link here) - £16.00

I just had to purchase this shirt, as yes, it is Gingham. I was actually a little apprehensive about purchasing this as it is a boxy shape and box shape shirts that I have purchased in the past have been too small or too tight on me, but this shirt is the best one I have purchased so far. I think this shirt would look good with the checked skirt if I fancied a clash of the prints day haha! The shirt is long sleeved, but I personally think the shirt looks better with the sleeves rolled up, Great price at £16.00.

4. Tianna Box Pleat Colour Pop Skater Skirt (link here) - £10.00

I had wanted a pink skater skirt for a while and it was just my luck that I found this beauty on Boohoo. Definitely recommend for this to be purchased as it goes with anything and is on trend. What a bargain it is at £10?! Boohoo never fails to impress.

5. Primark

1. White Turtleneck Cropped Jumper with Short Sleeves - (Bought on E-bay)
(Similar) Somedays Lovin Roll Neck Jumper in Fluffy Knit (link here) - £31.00

Unfortunately, the top featured in the picture was purchased on E-bay and Primark do not have an online store, (why not?! :( ) However, I have found an alternative via the ASOS website which is a jumper from Somedays which is a little pricier at £31.00 but it is in the sale. I do not shop at Primark that often as I do not have a Primark store in my area, but I just had to purchase this turtleneck fluffy crop, as I'm sure most of you know that I love turtlenecks and fluffy jumpers. This top is also great for the Summer as it is cropped and short sleeved. There are also a variety of other colours to choose from.

6. ASOS

1. T - Shirt with Deja Vu Print (link here) - £14.00

I do love a good slogan tee. They are just great for tucking into a pair of high waisted shorts or trousers for a relaxed look. This tee from ASOS was very sought after as it sold out within days and luckily, it came back in stock a few days ago, so purchase yours as soon as possible! I love this tee as Deja Vu used to be my favourite word when I was very small. (Please don't ask me why) Haha! It's also a bargain at only £14.00!

7. Lazy Oaf

1. Let It Roll T - Shirt (link here) - £40.00

Again, another slogan tee but this is a cropped version. You may have also seen this featured in an outfit post which can be found here. I saw this tee on another blogger about a month ago and knew I had to get my hands on it but I wasn't too sure on paying £40.00 on it, however, I thought I would search for it on E-bay and there it was! Luckily, I won it, (ovbiously). I love the tartan sleeves and the design. It is a perfect fit and looks great with high waisted bottoms. If you do not want to pay £40, I suggest looking on E-bay!.

8. Persunmall

1. British Style Checked Jacket (link here) - £24.47

This bomber jacket is actually from Zara but as it is sold out I have managed to find a bomber jacket which is virtually the same if you wanted to purchase a tartan bomber. Persunmall basically sell clothes which may be at a high price in UK stores but Persunmall sell these clothes at a lower price. I haven't completely left the tartan world yet as I still love my bomber jacket as it is versatile and great for layering. If you wanted to purchase this, I would recommend getting a couple of sizes up. My jacket is a size large and my size is between 8-12 in jackets.

9. E - bay

1. (Similar) New Look Belted Mom Shorts (link here) - £19.99

I have purchased a pair of Black Levi Shorts from E - bay, however, I have found a great alternative pair from New Look for you. They are Mom shorts which comes with a belt. I am not keen on shorts which expose the bum, so I always opt for mom style shorts. I think these black shorts would look great with the tees from Lazy Oaf and ASOS.

2. Light Blue Blazer (link here) - £3.99

I had been looking for a pastel blue blazer for a while and this blazer was only £3.99! I had to wait about 2-3 weeks for it to arrive as it is from Hong Kong but it was totally worth it. Such a great value for money and it looks great paired with other pastels. You can view my outfit post on it here

That is all my purchases for March. I feel I didn't buy as much in March, even though it looks plenty haha.

Until next time,

Feeling like a Marshmallow

(My dog jumped up at me with dirty paws in the last photo, luckily he did it after the photos were taken!)
1. Missguided Lilih Sweatshirt in Pastels (link here) - £19.99
2. Topshop Petite Mini Gingham Leggings (link here) - £22.00
3. (Similar) Ronya Oversized Boyfriend Coat (link here) - £40.00
4. (Similar) Pretty Little Thing Mia Red Patent Creeper (link here) - £8.00

I am most definitely feeling like a cross between a Marshmallow and a Dolly Mixture sweet today. As the weather is slowly deteriorating yet again (typical British weather), I thought I would add a little colour to the world and go all out. I have got the pink coat out again after putting it towards the back of my coat rail as the weather WAS warming up, but hey, this is the UK after all. The coat I am wearing is from Dresslily has sold out, but I managed to find a similar version on Boohoo, however, it is a little pricier than what I had paid for the coat I own.
Last week, Missguided had free postage on all orders, so I just had to make an order. I had my beady eye on this pastel jumper for a while now but I am on a tight budget at the moment, so I'm trying to only buy clothes which are on sale, have a discount or free postage. So, you can imagine how happy I was to see that Missguided had free postage available. I am in love with this jumper. It just screams SS14 all over. I love all the variations of pastel colours it has and I think the pocket is adorable. I paired this jumper with a pair of Gingham leggings from Topshop. I have had these for a while now and get plenty of wear from them. However, I would advise to get a size smaller as they do come up a little big on the legs as I have to roll the hems up and these are petite length! However, at only £22.00 how can you refuse?! I personally think the leggings pair well with the jumper. Lastly, I added a pair of red patent brogues/creepers. I always get complimented on these and always get asked where they are from but unfortunately, I bought them three years ago and they have sold out where I purchased them and I can't seem to see them anywhere else, but I love them! They go with anything and they inject abit of a darker effect to this outfit.
After these pictures were taken, my dog decided to jump up at me and put his dirty paws on my clothes but luckily this was after the photos were taken....just!

Dot to Dot

1. River Island Spotty Tappy Dress (link here) - £25.00
2. Black Fluffy Jumper (E - bay)
3. Dr Martens Polley Shoe (link here) - £90.00

I feel that I look slightly awkward in these photos haha, so I apologise! I had just come back from a manic driving lesson with my dad.
At this time of year I think everyone faces the dilemma of what to wear because the weather is very hormonal. This is why I love layering with a jumper without looking too overdressed or under dressed.
In this post, I am wearing a navy blue polka dot dress from River Island which I purchased via ASOS as then I can get free postage, yay! I love polka dot; it's girly and cute. Not forgetting that this dress has a peter pan collar and I looooveee peter pan collars. I wore a black fluffy jumper which I purchased from E - bay over the top. I love this jumper as it is fitted and can be worn with various of things, definitely a big staple in my wardrobe at the moment. I love how the collar from the dress sits perfectly on top of the jumper.
I wore my Mary Janes Dr Martens, so this adds to the cuteness. Like all Dr Martens, I advise to purchase a smaller size as they tend to come up a little bigger. These are the first pair that actually fit me properly as I purchased a size smaller. I always feel like I should be at Primary School when I wear these shoes but they are adorable after all.

Until next time,

Buy My Stuff on Depop Please!

Depop username: sommer_guy (link here)

As I am a big fan of selling my items on E-bay week after week due to my forever overflowing wardrobe, I have been introduced to Depop. Depop is very similar to E-bay but the only difference being that your identity is shown and your item auctions don't have a expiry date unless the item is bought. But the best bit is that there is no insertion fees, yaaaay! Depop is definitely a faster way of uploading your items as I feel it can take a very long time to upload items on E-bay; with Depop it only takes two to three minutes. Literally. It is easy to set up a Depop account but Depop can only be used as an app as the whole point was for people to be able to have the convenience of purchasing or uploading from their pocket. The only downside I have with Depop is that you can only upload four images of your item whereas on E-bay 12 free images can be uploaded. Also, as there is no auction expiry time, your item may never sell and if you're desperate for funds this can be a bit of a pain, that's when E-bay comes in handy. Overall, I think I am going to use Depop on a regular basis and I definitely recommend it. My Depop username is listed above, it would be great if you could check my items out. Thank you! :)

SS14 Trends: Matching Sets

I thought I would do a post on one of my favourite trends this season. The matching set. I have well and truely fallen for the matching set trend being an owner of six matching sets myself. I am going to give a short review of a number of online stores that I believe have some lovely matching sets.

1. Glitters for Dinner

Image of 2 Piece Black Anchor Set
Two Piece Black Anchor Set (link here) - £27.25

Image of MADE TO ORDER - As If Black Checkered Set
As If Black Checkered Set (link here) - £51.48
Glitters For Dinner website (link here)

Glitters for Dinner is a unique and affordable online clothing store based in Australia. They produce one off, unique pieces that it's likely no one else will own the same item as you. GFD's matching pieces really stand out for me. The company produce matching set designs which aren't available anywhere else which I really like. GFD are true to their word when they say they are affordable as I bought a full matching set for under £30 which is a total bargain and not forgetting, they also ship worldwide for FREE. So, if you're looking for a unique matching set, definitely check out Glitters for Dinner!.

2. Motel Rocks

Motel Annie Skirt and Mindy Top pack in Monochrome Symmetry (link here) - £45.00

Motel Pacey T - Shirt and Jeanie Pants pack in Windsor Blue (link here) - £62.00
Motel website (link here)

Motel have some fab matching sets. There are many two pieces to choose from and in lots of different styles. I personally like the two pieces listed above. I currently own the Monochrome Symmetry set and I love it, it's so much better than the pictures. Although, I would say to purchase the skirt in a smaller size than what you normally would get as it tends to come up a little bigger. I am a big fan of the turtleneck trend this SS14, so I just had to purchase the top also. The price is £45.00 and cheaper if you buy it as a set rather than separately. I don't currently own a trouser set yet so I'm hoping to make the Windsor Blue set my first one! The outfit reminds me of pyjamas, I can imagine it's super comfy and I love the cropped leg. The pieces would look good as separates also. This matching set is a little more pricey at £62.00 but I can imagine it is worth the price!

3. ASOS

Image 1 of ASOS PETITE Exclusive Mesh Insert Structured Top
1, ASOS Petite Exclusive Mesh Insert Structured Top (link here) - £28.00
2. ASOS Petite Exclusive shorts with Mesh Insert (link here) - £28.00

ASOS Slim Trousers In Luxe Fabric
1. ASOS Blazer in Luxe Fabric (link here) - £55.00
2. ASOS Slim Trousers in Luxe Fabric (link here) - £40.00
ASOS website (link here)

If you're looking for a smart, chic matching set, then ASOS is the place to go. ASOS was one of the first stores to begin the matching set trend in 2012/2013. The ASOS petite matching set (listed above) is perfect for the Spring and Summer season as it would be perfect on a hot day, yet it is very on trend being a pastel shade and having mesh inserts. I currently own this matching set and if you're thinking of purchasing this, I recommend you do as it is very flattering. The shorts are a high waisted shape and look great as a separate with other pastel shades, as does the top. Each piece of this outfit is £28.00 which I feel is reasonable. The second matching set outfit is another trouser set. However, this outfit is more chic and elegant. This outfit would be perfect for a formal occasion. Again, it is also a pastel lilac colour which is one of my favourite shades. The trousers are a cropped, ankle grazer fit which is very on trend this season. The jacket is a boyfriend fit, so I imagine this outfit would give off a boyish look which I love. However, this set is a little pricey at £55.00 and £40.00 but you can purchase the items as separates.

4. Poppy Lux

1. Poppy Lux Rosie Top - Blue/White (link here) - £26. 00
2. Poppy Lux Rosie Skirt - Blue/White (link here) - £28.00
Poppy Lux website (found here)

I have only discovered Poppy Lux but I'm so glad I have found it as I'm sure I'll purchase plenty from them. This matching set caught my eye as did the price as I think it is very reasonable for a matching set. This matching set would be perfect for a Summers' day and as separates. I think they would go nice with pastel colours which are huge this SS14. I definitely recommend you purchase from Poppy Lux. Especially as they have 10% off for new customers and free delivery, what's not to love?!

5. Lily Collett

Image of PINK STRIPE COORD

Image of STRIPED COORD
Striped Coord (link here) - £50.00
Lily Collett website (link here)

Last but certainly not least, is Lily Collett. I have been eyeing Lilys' two pieces ever since she had followed me on Twitter. They are without a doubt one of the best matching sets made from fabric and material that I have seen yet. I am yet to purchase a two piece from Lily but that is only because they sell out really fast due to high demand. However, I really do like the Striped Coord (listed above) which is still on sale at £50.00 which is reasonable considering it has been made from scratch. The first matching set listed above is by far my favourite, but unfortunately it had sold out quickly. The matching sets that Lily makes range from two piece and three piece sets. Lily makes the sets with a variety of different fabrics, materials and designs. Lily is definitely one to watch for the future, I recommend you go check out her website!.

If you know of any matching set websites then please let me know :) also, I will be doing a matching set post in a few weeks with pictures of me in my matching sets that I currently own.

Until next time,

Let It Roll

1. Lazy Oaf  Let It Roll T - Shirt (link here) - £40.00
2. MOTO Gingham Print Joni Jeans (link here) - £38.00
3.  (Similar) Dr. Martens Aggy Strap Ankle Boots (link here)  - £57.96
4. (Similar) Topshop Boxy Fur Gilet (link here) - £65.00

Firstly, I apologise for the lack of make up I am wearing in these photos. These photos were taken on a very busy day and I went without wearing mascara, I have realised mascara helps in many ways.
Onto the outfit. As the weather is slowly improving (yay! However, it is currently the type of weather where I don't know what to wear or not!) I thought I would go without a large, heavy coat and opt for the faux fur gilet which I feel is appropriate for this type of weather as you don't feel too overdressed or under dressed. I bought this gilet from Ebay a long time ago, but there is plenty of similar ones around, I just linked a Topshop one above. These gilets are very versatile and can be worn on any occasion and can be thrown on over anything.
I have recently purchased the Let it Roll crop top from Lazy Oaf. The price of this is £40 from Lazy Oaf but I managed to purchase this on Ebay for twenty - something pounds. (I love Ebay me). I have also noticed this top on PersunMall a few weeks ago at only £16 but when I went to buy it, it was sold out :( I think it's always best to do a little search before paying £40.00. I saw this top on another blogger and I instantly fell in love with it. It is a cropped fit, so I'll probably wear it with high waisted bottoms. It has such a nice tartan print to the neck line and on the sleeves. The Let It Roll and dog image just adds quirkiness to it.
I paired this top with my Gingham Joni Jeans. I purchased these jeans around about the same time I purchased the Let It Roll top. (Yes, I purchased them from E-Bay, shocker). I think I may have to order many more pairs of Joni jeans as these are soooooo comfy and have a very flattering high waist! And I'm wearing gingham (shocker again). I love the gingham print this season. On my feet, I am wearing Dr. Martens Aggy Strap boots. These are not in sale anymore, however, I have managed to find some fakes for you if you're interested. They look no different to the originals from the pictures (link is below the pictures). I love these boots, they are super comfy, look great with anything and are different. The only negative is that they take an age to do all the buckles up and do the zip up but it's all worth it!
So, this was my first outfit I wore out without a big coat, I felt naked. BUT BRING ON SUMMER.

Until next time,
Sommer x

Fluffy and Leather

Ette Candyfloss Crop Tee (link here) - £16.00
Leather Mini Skirt - Ebay
Dreslily Oversized Boyfriend Coat (link here) - £24.40
Dr. Martens Boots (link here) - £100

Sorry for the snap happy pictures!
I love my oversized pink coat I purchased from Dresslily last month and at the price of £24.40, I thought it was a total bargain! I am currently trying to get as much wear as I can out of it before the Winter season comes to a close. I paired the coat up with a fluffy crop tee from Ette. This is the first crop top I have EVER purchased and I love this one! It's a gorgeous colour and snug fit. It can also be worn for any time of the year. I am wearing a mini leather skirt which I purchased in February 2013 from Ebay. Lastly, I am wearing my customised Dr. Martens. I had originally bought them as a plain black pair but I saw someone selling a galaxy printed pair of Dr. Martens and they stated they were open to requests, so I sent my Docs to the seller and they turned them into a galaxy heaven! This was over three years ago now and I love them!

I'm hoping the weather will continue to get better so I can wear my summer clothes!
P.S please check out the Veuxdoo banner on the right hand side of my blog, they have some lovely gems. They also have 50% off all clothing until Sunday, just use the code 'WEEKEND50' for a bargain!

Until next time,
